porn pet runs (nude and pornographic photos )

Status: In Review

with regard to 'porn pet runs'. I appreciate that you are aware of this problem and will eventually deal with it, but that will take some time, I guess. In the meantime i assume you do not have sufficient staff to monitor pet runs and delete the photos/accounts as they are being run, or even soon after. Therefore the porn pictures are available for viewing by young children for some time. If I see a 'fake' pet with a nude/porn photo, and the profile is not private, i will send a message to the user requesting them to change the photo.  naturally, most of these idiots do not reply, or send a reply with abusive and foul language. They are then reported for abuse, but by the time someone gets round to checking that profile, it is either deleted ( as most fake pets do, leaving the owner stuck with a dead pet, and losing much cash), or the photo has been changed.

May I suggest, as an interim method, that certain pet players are given the administration right to warn violators, and delete the photos, and then to be able to delete the accounts, if the warning is not heeded. Selected players from different countries can be given these rights so as to cover all time zones.

This method was used in a multi-player online game I was involved in, to stop abusive and foul language and was very effective.

is it also possible to bar the IP address of these 'porn violators' from accessing the tagged site again  as they will continue to create new accounts day after day. perhaps a database of IP addresses can be maintained and only a set number of accounts allowed for that address within a specific period, so as to stop people from submitting several porn pets each day.

I would be glad to assist in monitoring if required.

I support this idea and am putting my hand up to help.

Awesome idea Jamie.

Come on, Tagged Customer Service !  Jamie48 has a great idea.  I report any nude/porn pets i see, but they rarely get deleted, because they have changed their photo, and deleted the porn/nude photo, by the time you get round to checking it.  So let's do something about it and get these porn pets deleted quickly during the runs, and lessen the chance of younger people seeing them.

Tagged this porn has to stop. I really don't want to see this site go to trash.

This is a good idea and worth taking a chance on.

I have reported till I am tired. If I didn't want to help, I wouldn't be here.

A day ago, I reported a porn run, and the porn profile was giving their next uid

profile and so on and on it went for hours, run after run, a nasty hard core video clip for viewing children

to see.. I checked later the next day, and the profiles were still there with porn starlet pics on them.

I reported 5 one day and checked 4 hours later, thery were still there.

Glad to help clean up the trash!

ppetpatrol

Description:I have created this group to report any pets that use p orn/nude photos in their profile. The number of p orn pets in Tagged is ever increasing, and Tagged need help in identifying the filthy idiots who abuse the Pets game for their perverted minds. If you support the reporting and deleting of the perverts, then please join this group, and report any violators of Tagged rules in this respect. The more reports Tagged receive, then maybe they will do something to stop this practice.

An idea that was kind of mentioned above and has been used in other games (i.e., Tibia, Runescape, etc.). There weren't enough game masters to handle all of the problems and still let them play, so what they did was create a new category of players, call them Pet Trainers, for lack of a better word. They would have to go through some training and demonstrate a knowledge of the rules and regulations. They didn't have the power to bad (or delete someone's account) but they kind of acted as a filter only letting the more serious cases get sent on to the admins.

Another idea I have seen used effectively, is that when you report someone, that person's activity, conversation(s), names, profile pics, etc. are recorded as sort of a snapshot of the problem when it is happening. This would prevent them from quickly changing their profile pic before the admins would have a chance to look at the evidence.

Finally, on a different subject, I would like to see some additional filters added to the "browse" and/or "buy pets" sections where you can select a minimun (and maybe a maximum) number of pets that a person has and also so that you could select a certain time period in which the person has 1) last been active and 2) last been purchased, and 3) last purchased a pet.

Perhaps I should move this last paragraph to a new thread, but I'll leave it here for now and see if it gets noticedl.

Oh yes this is basically the "mini-GM" idea.

I know it worked elsewhere.

So this idea have my full support!

Edit: And yes, take a screendump of the offender. You can mail it to Tagged, or attach it if you use the other route for reporting the offender.

One of these slippery slope issues. Hardcore porn or any porn doesn't have any place here I agree.  How about topless women? I'm from Canada and appx 15 years ago our highest court ruled is was discriminatory to prevent women from going topless when men could go topless in public - not that you see much of it except at beaches, rock concerts and such.

Hard and softcore porn has not place here. I report it, I don't buy the pets in a run or anyplace else. If their profile isn't private I also send them a message to get a life.

But what's wrong with a little tantalyzing cleavage, side view breast, exposed female butt wearing dental floss bikini or tasteful female toplessness or large breasts in a skimpy top. There are tons of male photos on this site that are equally or more sexually agressive to women then the female photos aggressive to men that tagged removes. Tagged removes photos of women in bikinis where the breasts are moving or partially exposed yet doesn't remove photos of men naked except a pair of jeans open to the top of the privates.

How about the hairy chested obese guy no shirt and jeans barely staying up? That is way more offensive then a pair of breasts.

I think tagged has a phobia about women’s breasts and doesn't apply equally the standards it wants us to believe it holds itself to. Definitely there is a time delay surrounding getting to offensive photos and profiles. No quick fix and setting members up as monitors will fix that. But also being discriminatory in their application of their principles will not benefit them either.

I am so sick of Tagged deleting things from my profile when they are not porn and leaving the nasty stuff there. Also things I sent to my man were deleted but the porn site girls got on his page and stayed there. This is getting pretty bad.

I don't want to leave Tagged. I love it but PLEASE clean it up.

Today I get a friend request from a nude male showing waist down pic. How is this let go ???

As it is quite obvious that Tagged can do nothing about these porn pets that are run in the fake pet runs, because by the time that Tagged agents read the abuse report, the account user has changed the offending porn photo to something less pornographic ( usually a copy of another users sexy girl photo), may I suggest again my idea to assist in this ever increasing problem.

Selected players from various time zones to be given administrative rights to warn offenders to change their pornographic/nude photo, and if not changed , then that player has the ability to delete the photo/account.  These players will therefore cover a considerable time span of the day and thus pet runs can be effectively monitored. If these porn accounts are deleted during the pet runs, and not much later as is the case now, this hopefully will deter them from continuing this disgusting practice.

Further to this , for porn pets that do not get deleted when run,and have changed their photo,  to provide tagged with the proof that account was originally a porn pet, a snapshot of the offending photo and profile, with the UID, can be taken and sent to tagged. This will ensure that porn pets who change their photos will get deleted at some time.

Another suggestion, to deter the porn pet buyers, who encourage the perverts by buying the pets, can be identified by taking a screenshot of the porn pet's bought and sold list and also sent to tagged. these buyers can then be penalised by having their cash value reduced by a fixed percentage ( hopefully a large amount), and thus may help to stop players from buying the porn pets. Nobody wants to lose cash, so if players know they may lose cash instead of making cash, they may think twice about buying the pet.

If all players who support these ideas, and are concerned about their children seeing these porn photos, addtheir kudos to this, then maybe tagged will eventually do something creative to stop porn pets, and stop this good site from becoming a well known ( amongst certain countries) porn site.

I posted in another topic of similar name,  That tagged should adopt the photo approval system used by many dating sites.

Photo will not show until it is approved by tagged,  Very simple and effective way to stop the porn.

If you can't control it on here then stop it getting here in the first place.

by Question Master on ‎12-01-2011 06:41 AM

Jamie your idea although not a new concept is good,  Just not sure how it would work with tagged.

a website called Thaivisa.com uses such a system and it works very well.

The big difference is all the Admins/moderators and root Admin know each other personally,  How would tagged go about selecting such people and how would they be policed?

by Kittynip on ‎05-05-2012 10:47 PM

With the initial statment, the only question I have is why would you think there are children on what is supose to be an adult sight?

That should mean that there should not be children on the sight to begin with. That is one of he reasons people have to give their age, and are supose to be rejected from being able to even sign on to the sight if they are too young.

If there are children who are signing on with a false age. That is more a parents responsability to monitor their kids activity on the web.

Granted I can understand a concern for someone using a nude picture as thier main picture. However if the page is set on private I think what is on thier page that is not exposed to the public sight should be their own busness. Would you agree?

Other wise it's kind of like big brother. Public view is wrong, private view is private.

I agree and have brought up the porno/nude pics to Tagged`s attention. I`ve noticed they change the pic after being bought many times. It`s a little disgusting to see some of them, I enjoy the pets game, but come on you shouldn`t post a pic on a site that says it does not allow sexually suggestive photos. There should simply be a post made that ALL members can see, If Tagged finds any photos not suitable they will be deleted, warned.... and if it happens again, deleted from the site. What is bad I have seen some that look very young. All it is saying that sex sells... even in an innocent pets game.

by puertoricaninnh on ‎07-24-2012 11:26 AM

nudity is part of life, only in america is this considered taboo.. this site should NOT be open to minors anyway.. keep the minors out and we should be all set.. Our only concern should be to report and delete scammers, there are plenty of those who sneek in here and create a profile then try to pry on older guys n gals, that's what everyone should be concerned with, not nudity.. that's just my oppinion  :smileytongue:

by kalidurga on ‎01-08-2013 02:18 AM

I suppose the porn runs should be put under another topic altogether: that of porn and nudity on Tagged. (Those two topics can be divided into two topics, as far as I'm concerned)

If you don't want porn runs.....you simply don't have to buy the porn pets. You don't buy them, you don't get stuck with them.

It just shows what's on people's minds: sex. That's what is bought, that's what sells. It takes one porn run to find out you'd better not buy them.
